The diversity of animals and plants available is something different and not synonymous with Florida Theme Parks, however, Silver Springs Florida is one of the most outstandingly beautiful Orlando Attractions. Surprisingly the waters average at around 98% pure water, meaning the River Cruises on glass bottomed boats touring the seven main spring formations which make Silversprings one of the enduring Florida Theme Parks. The underwater views Silversprings offers contain more than you could imagine, from the many fish species available to the 70 million year old fossils which form the backdrop to this serene environment. All cruises are in the very capable hands of U.S. Coastguard trained captains.
But of course its not just the marine wildlife which make Silver Springs Florida Theme Parks. The land-based wildlife is just as fantastic as the aquatic wildlife, bears and panthers, along with the stark contrast of farmyard animals make for some great views. Then there are the alligators, when land meets water some truly amazing feats of nature are to be found, and what could rival the mystery of the white alligator? Arguably the rarest of all reptilians, Silver Springs has two of these fantastic animals in a specially designed, protective zone.
Despite all of these, there is one thing top Orlando Attractions have to offer, rides and activities to captivate and entertain, and you won’t be left wanting. The Lighthouse Ride is essentially an inverted Ferris Wheel which slowly and quietly rises to provide a spectacular view of the park without disturbing the surrounding wildlife. Kids playlands and various animal shows also provide something for all ages.
Located 90 miles North-West of Orlando, just off Interstate 75, this park is further than most Orlando Attractions are from Direct Holiday Villas, but definitely worth the distance for a day away from the more urban areas which can get a bit hectic whilst you are trying to relax, and as you will be in Florida, getting there and back won’t be a problem!
