Orlando Museum of Art

The three main collections alone at the Orlando Museum of Art sets this Florida Museum apart from the majority of Orlando Attractions, showcasing a range of arts; The African Collection is centred around beads and cloths, but also includes wooden figurines and tribal masks. The American Collection hosts some of the finest work from across the US from the 18th century onwards, including some beautiful examples of Orlando Art. The Art of the Ancient Americas is a fantastic historical piece, including stonework, cloths and precious metals dating back as far as 2000BC!

Another key feature which separates the Florida Museum from the more adrenaline based Orlando Attractions is the dedication the Orlando Art Museum to education in Art. With many different educational opportunities aimed at the four main types of visitors, Adults, Youth & Family, Artists and Teachers, the Orlando Art Museum takes learning to a whole new level of interesting!

The exhibitions at the museum vary throughout the year, and information on the current events can be found on their website, and although the exhibitions change on a several times throughout the year, the quality never changes and is always worth a day to go and look for yourself.

Like the majority of Orlando Attractions, getting to and from the museum from Direct Holiday Villas couldn’t be easier. The museum is located just east of Highway 4 to the north of Orlando, providing many different travel alternatives for you to choose from. The surrounding scenery is the lake area, with Lake Sue a stone’s throw away from the museum, a perfect place for lunch!
