The staggering 205 foot tall Singing Tower hosts one of the world’s finest carillons, which can be enjoyed in the Bok Tower Gardens from 1 and 3pm daily. The Bok Tower itself was designed to be the perfect match to the nature surrounding it in the Bok Tower Gardens, and the detail which went into the stonework is mind-boggling. Entrance to the tower is limited to certain members of the gardens due to the sheer volume of carillon mechanisms. The tower is considered to be a jewel by Miltan B Mendary, a famed architect of the time.
Aside from the Bok Gardens, the Bok Tower Gardens Orlando Attractions also include a 20 room, Mediterranean style mansion, which has daily tours available. Built between 1930 and 1932, the mansion has been renovated to it’s original 30’s theme, and hosts some of the special events which visit Florida Gardens Orlando Attractions throughout the year.
The wildlife present is highly varied, from the swans who like to rest by the reflection pool, to the birds, reptiles and butterflies introduced, all the way to squirrels which have no fear of humans and can be hand fed! Florida Gardens rarely manage to get such a vivid and exciting mix.
Located just off highway 25 near junction 27, and west of Lake Kissimmee, the gardens are located further away from the Direct Holiday Villas than the usual Orlando attractions, but the experience is definitely worth the effort! The journey from the Direct Holiday Villas to the gardens takes you through some of the beautiful lake country in Florida, hinting at the beauty awaiting you when you arrive at the gardens.
